Pierre Galea Elected MDA Acting General Secretary

Pierre Galea, a familiar face in local business circles, has stepped into the role, ready to steer the association through challenging times and towards a brighter future.

Galea, a seasoned professional with a career spanning over two decades, is no stranger to the local business scene. With a background in finance and a track record of driving growth in various sectors, he’s now set to apply his skills and experience in his new role at the MDA.

We need to ensure that they have the tools and support they need to weather this storm and emerge stronger.”

But Galea’s vision extends beyond the immediate crisis. He’s to a post-pandemic world, one where Malta can us its strengths to attract investment and drive sustainable growth. “We need to be proactive,” he says. “We need to be at the forefront of policy discussions, advocating for a business environment that’s innovative, competitive, and sustainable.”

Galea’s vision for the MDA is one of growth and transformation. He wants to see the association expand its membership, attracting new voices and perspectives. He wants to see it become a hub for innovation, a place where ideas are shared, and solutions are found.

And what about Malta? Galea is optimistic. “We’ve weathered storms before,” he says, “and we’ve always emerged stronger. I have no doubt that, together, we can navigate this crisis and build a brighter, more prosperous future for our island.”
