Who are the men wanted by the court?
The first, Darren Agius, is wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of fraud and money laundering. The 35-year-old from Msida is accused of defrauding several individuals of thousands of euros, promising them high returns on investments that never materialized. The second, Joseph Xuereb, is a 42-year-old from Birkirkara wanted for breaching his bail conditions. Xuereb was initially arrested for drug trafficking and is now evading justice.
Why are they still at large?
The reasons for their continued elusiveness are varied. Some speculate that Agius has fled the country, using his alleged criminal connections to slip through the net.
