Malta Promoter Stands Firm on Kanye West London Fest Headliner

Local promoter, Tony Attard, has sparked a frenzy by announcing the rapper as the headline act for this year’s London Music Festival.

Attard, a seasoned promoter with roots in Birkirkara, has been making waves in the UK music scene for years. His company, Island Beats, has brought a touch of Malta to London’s music festivals, featuring local acts like Ivan Filletti and The New VIBE. Now, he’s aiming to make an even bigger splash with Kanye West.

“I’ve always believed in bringing a piece of Malta to the world,” Attard told Hot Malta. “And what better way than to bring one of the world’s biggest stars to a festival that’s got a little bit of Malta in its heart?”

Attard’s announcement hasn’t been without controversy. Critics have questioned the choice, citing Kanye’s recent controversies.
