Pete Hegseth Confuses Malta with Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction or the Bible? Pete Hegseth’s Maltese Mix-Up

Imagine this: you’re sitting at the Tigne Point waterfront, enjoying a pastizzi and a cisk, when you hear that Fox News’ Pete Hegseth just confused the Maltese Islands with a Tarantino flick. You’d think he’d mixed up Ħaġar Qim with a movie set, right? But no, he’s got the Bible tangled up with Pulp Fiction.

Hegseth’s Head-Scratching Statement

In a recent Fox & Friends segment, Hegseth was discussing the Bible’s accuracy when he suddenly brought up Malta. “You know, the Bible talks about Malta,” he said, “It’s where St. Paul was shipwrecked. And it’s also, interestingly, where they filmed Pulp Fiction.” Cue the collective Maltese head-scratch.

Malta’s Movie Magic

Now, Malta’s no stranger to the silver screen. We’ve had our fair share of movie magic, from Gladiator to Game of Thrones. But Pulp Fiction? That’s a new one. Turns out, Hegseth might be thinking of The Count of Monte Cristo, which was partly filmed in Malta in 2002. But that’s a far cry from Tarantino’s iconic crime flick.

So, did Hegseth just make a Maltese mix-up? Or is there a hidden chapter in the Bible we don’t know about? One thing’s for sure, this little island just got a whole lot more interesting in the eyes of the world.
