€1,000 Reward for Missing Teen Matthew
Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered for Information
In the quiet Maltese town of Birkirkara, a family’s worry is growing. Their 17-year-old son, Matthew, hasn’t returned home since last Tuesday. Now, a €1,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to his safe return.
Matthew’s Disappearance
Matthew was last seen near the St. Joseph High School in Birkirkara, where he’s a student. He was wearing his school uniform – a white shirt, navy-blue trousers, and a black blazer with the school’s crest. His worried parents reported him missing on Thursday, triggering a search that’s now entering its sixth day.
His mother, Maria, told Hot Malta, “He’s never stayed out this long. We’re desperate for any information. Please, if you’ve seen him, come forward.”
Search Efforts and Reward
The Maltese police, along with volunteers, have been scouring the area, including the nearby Buskett Gardens and the Birkirkara By-Pass. They’ve also been checking CCTV footage from around the school and the nearby shops.
In a bid to encourage anyone with information to come forward, Matthew’s family has put up a €1,000 reward. They’re pleading with anyone who might have seen him, no matter how insignificant the detail might seem, to contact the police.
Community Response
The Birkirkara community has rallied around the family, with many sharing Matthew’s photo on social media and offering their support. Local businesses have also put up posters, hoping that someone might recognize the teenager.
“It’s a close-knit community,” said Joseph, a local shop owner. “We all look out for each other’s children. If Matthew’s out there, we’ll find him.”
If you have any information about Matthew’s whereabouts, please contact the Malta Police Force on 119 or the Birkirkara Police Station on 2124 2124.
