€1,000 Reward Offered in Birkirkara Teen’s Disappearance
Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered in Birkirkara Search
Birkirkara’s bustling streets, usually filled with the chatter of students and the aroma of pastizzi from the local bakery, have fallen silent in anticipation. The reason? A teenager, 16-year-old Daniel Azzopardi, has been missing for over a week, and the community is on edge.
The Disappearance
Daniel was last seen on the evening of Monday, 13th February, near his home in Birkirkara. He had stepped out to meet a friend but never returned. His worried parents reported him missing the next day, setting off a chain of events that has left the usually vibrant town in a state of concern.
The Search
Volunteers, armed with posters and determination, have been scouring the streets of Birkirkara and beyond. The police, with their dogs and helicopters, have been conducting extensive searches, focusing on areas Daniel frequented. Social media has been abuzz with appeals, with the hashtag #FindDaniel trending locally.
Now, in a bid to encourage anyone with information to come forward, a €1,000 reward has been offered. The reward, donated anonymously, is a testament to the community’s commitment to finding Daniel.
Inspector Joseph Vella from the Birkirkara Police Station urges anyone with information to contact them immediately. “No piece of information is too small. If you think you’ve seen something, please, come forward.”
If you have any information about Daniel’s whereabouts, please contact the Birkirkara Police Station on 21242001 or 119.
