Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered in Birkirkara Search

Birkirkara’s quiet streets, usually buzzing with life, have taken on an eerie stillness. The reason? The disappearance of 16-year-old student, Daniel Azzopardi, has left the community on edge. Now, a €1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his safe return.

Daniel’s Disappearance

Daniel was last seen on the evening of October 15th, near his home in Birkirkara. He had stepped out to meet a friend but never returned. His worried family reported him missing the next day, setting off a frantic search that has now entered its third week.

Described as 1.75m tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and brown eyes, Daniel was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and white trainers. His family and the police are desperate for any information that could lead to his whereabouts.

Community Response and Reward Offer

The Birkirkara community has rallied around Daniel’s family, with neighbours and friends joining the search efforts. Posters bearing his image have been plastered across the town, and social media campaigns have been launched to raise awareness.

In a bid to encourage anyone with information to come forward, a €1,000 reward has been offered. The reward was initiated by local businessman Joseph Xuereb, who told Hot Malta, “We need to do everything we can to bring Daniel home. I hope this reward encourages anyone with information to speak up.”

Inspector Keith Mifsud, leading the investigation, appeals to the public, “If you think you’ve seen Daniel, or know anything about his disappearance, please contact us immediately. No piece of information is too small.”
