The Birżebbuġa Band Club, a pillar of the community, has a vision. They see not just a field and a fort, but a future. The club has big plans. They’re transforming the field into a public garden, a green lung for the town. And the fort? They’re working hand in hand with the local council, the Malta Tourism Authority, and the public.

“This is more than just a project,” says Joe Camilleri, the band club’s president. “It’s a dream we’ve had for years. To see it finally coming to life is incredible.”

Birżebbuġa is no stranger to change. Once a quiet fishing village, it’s grown into a bustling town with a unique identity. The field and fort project is just one part of this evolution. The town is also seeing new developments, from the revamped promenade to the upcoming marina.

“We’re not just building a garden or a cultural centre,” says Camilleri. “We’re building a future. A future that’s rooted in our past, but looks to the future.”
