Zanzi Homes Celebrates 10 Years of Shaping Malta’s Skyline
Zanzi Homes: A Decade of Building Dreams in Malta
Imagine standing on the bustling Triq il-Kbira in Mosta, looking up at the towering apartment blocks that have become a staple of Malta’s skyline. Now, imagine being part of the team that turned those blueprints into reality. This is the story of Zanzi Homes, celebrating a decade of shaping Malta’s urban scene.
From Humble Beginnings to Towering Success
In 2012, brothers Andrew and Stephen Zammit, with their father Joseph, laid the foundation for what would become one of Malta’s leading construction companies. Starting from their family home in Birkirkara, they began with small-scale projects, pouring their hearts and souls into each one.
“We didn’t have much, but we had a vision,” recalls Andrew Zammit, now Zanzi Homes’ Managing Director. “We wanted to build not just structures, but homes. Places where families could grow, memories could be made.”
Growing Pains and Milestones
Over the years, Zanzi Homes has weathered economic storms, navigated regulatory challenges, and adapted to changing market demands. They’ve transformed from a small family business into a powerhouse, employing over 100 people and completing projects worth millions.
Some milestones stand out. There was the completion of the 14-story Zanzi Tower in Birkirkara, a feat that put Zanzi Homes on the map. Then came the Zanzi Residence in Msida, a mixed-use development that redefined urban living in Malta. And who could forget the Zanzi Suites in St. Julian’s, a luxury serviced apartment complex that raised the bar for hospitality accommodation?
Each project, Andrew says, has taught them something new. “We’ve learned to be flexible, to innovate, to never stop improving. That’s how we’ve stayed relevant in a competitive market.”
: A Future in Green Building
As Zanzi Homes marks its 10-year milestone, it’s not resting on its laurels. Instead, it’s looking towards a greener future. “Sustainability is the way forward,” says Stephen Zammit, the company’s Commercial Director. “We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint, using eco-friendly materials, and designing spaces that respect the environment.”
Up next is the Zanzi Green project in Qawra, a residential development that promises to set new standards in sustainable living. It’s a testament to Zanzi Homes’ commitment to growth and innovation, even after a decade in the business.
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved,” says Andrew. “But we’re more excited about what’s next. Here’s to the next ten years!”
