Man Charged After Msida Carwash Brawl

In the heart of Msida, where the scent of car wax usually lingers, an unusual aroma wafted through the air last Saturday. It was the stench of trouble brewing at the otherwise peaceful ‘Sparkle Shine’ carwash. A brawl that left one man nursing more than just a bruised ego, and another facing assault charges.

Eyewitnesses recount a seemingly innocuous dispute over a parking spot that escalated quicker than a car’s engine revving. John, a regular at ‘Sparkle Shine’, was mid-wash when another driver, later identified as 35-year-old Joseph Xuereb, pulled into the spot John had been eyeing. Xuereb was later charged and released on bail. He is due to appear in court next month.
