Motorcyclist Injured in Gozo Collision: What We Know So Far

The peaceful streets of Gozo were disrupted yesterday afternoon as a motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a car near the picturesque Ta’ Dbiegi area. The incident, which occurred around 3 PM, through the close-knit community, leaving residents and passersby alike concerned about the victim’s wellbeing.

Emergency Services Rush to the Scene

Upon receiving the distress call, emergency services swiftly responded, with an ambulance and police officers arriving at the scene within minutes. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Xewkija, was found lying injured on the roadside, his motorcycle damaged and the car involved in the collision bearing visible signs of impact.

The injured man was immediately attended to by medical professionals, who stabilized his condition before transporting him to Gozo General Hospital. His injuries are reported to be serious but not life-threatening, according to a spokesperson from the Malta Police Force.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

Investigations into the cause of the collision are currently underway, with police appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward. Sergeant Joseph Vella, the officer in charge of the investigation, stated, “We urge anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened to contact us immediately.
