Aidan Lights Up Eurovision Semi-Final Tonight

As the sun sets over the Grand Harbour, Malta’s very own Aidan is gearing up to make his mark on the global stage. Tonight, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter takes centre stage at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands, as he competes in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Aidan’s journey to Eurovision began last December when he won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with his powerful ballad, ‘Je Me Casse’. The song, written by Aidan himself along with Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos and Swedish songwriter Jimmy Thörnfeldt, has been a fan favourite since its release.

Born and raised in St. Julian’s, Aidan’s love for music was nurtured in Malta’s vibrant local music scene. From busking on the streets of Paceville to performing at local festivals, Aidan’s talent has always been evident. His journey to Eurovision is a testament to Malta’s thriving music industry and the support it offers to up-and-coming artists.

Tonight, Aidan will perform ‘Je Me Casse’ in the first semi-final, battling it out against 17 other acts for a spot in the grand final. If he qualifies, he’ll join fellow Maltese Eurovision alumni like Ira Losco, Chiara, and Destiny in the race for the coveted Eurovision trophy.
