Gun Violence in Marsascala: A Rare Occurrence
Marsascala, known for its picturesque fishing village and vibrant summer scene, is not typically associated with gun violence. The last attempted murder in the area was over a decade ago. “It’s shocking,” said a local shop owner who wished to remain anonymous. “We’ve had our fair share of petty crimes, but nothing like this.”
The victim, a 35-year-old local man, is now recovering in Mater Dei Hospital. He underwent emergency surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
