The blaze, which broke out around 7 PM, quickly spread to nearby buildings, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the air and causing traffic to grind to a halt. Main roads like Triq San Giljan and Triq it-Torri were clogged with vehicles, as commuters and tourists alike tried to navigate the sudden chaos.
