Michelin-Starred Chef Pascal Barbot Heads to Malta for Exclusive Dinner
Malta’s Risette to Host Michelin-Starred Chef Pascal Barbot for Exclusive Four Hands Dinner
Imagine this: a warm Valletta evening, the scent of Mediterranean herbs wafting through the air, and the clinking of glasses echoing off the ancient city’s stone walls. Now, picture this: a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, where two culinary masters join forces to create a symphony of flavours that will dance on your palate. This is not a dream, but a reality that’s about to unfold at Risette, the award-winning restaurant nestled in the heart of Malta’s capital.
Pascal Barbot: A Michelin-Starred Maestro
Pascal Barbot, the renowned French chef who helms the two-Michelin-starred restaurant ‘L’Astrance’ in Paris, is set to grace Malta with his presence. Barbot, known for his innovative and refined cuisine, will be joining forces with Risette’s head chef, Jonathan Brincat, for an exclusive ‘Four Hands’ dinner on the 15th of October.
Barbot’s culinary journey is as impressive as his dishes. After honing his skills under the likes of Alain Passard and Guy Martin, he opened L’Astrance in 2000. Since then, it has become a beacon of French gastronomy, earning its second Michelin star in 2007.
Jonathan Brincat: Malta’s Culinary Ambassador
Jonathan Brincat, the Maltese chef who has put local cuisine on the international map, will be Barbot’s partner in this gastronomic adventure. Brincat, who has worked under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, returned to his homeland to open Risette in 2016. Since then, it has become a favourite among locals and tourists alike, earning a spot on the prestigious San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
“It’s an honour to welcome Chef Barbot to Risette,” says Brincat. “This is more than just a dinner; it’s a celebration of our shared passion for food and a testament to the growing culinary scene in Malta.”
A Night to Remember
The ‘Four Hands’ dinner will see Barbot and Brincat collaborating on a unique menu that combines their distinct culinary styles. The evening will commence with a welcome aperitif at 7:30 PM, followed by a seven-course dinner that promises to be a journey of flavours and textures.
The dinner will take place in Risette’s elegant dining room, located on Old Theatre Street, just a stone’s throw away from the iconic St. John’s Co-Cathedral. The restaurant’s cozy ambiance, coupled with its stunning views of the Grandmaster’s Palace, provides the perfect setting for this gastronomic event.
Seats for this exclusive dinner are limited, and tickets are priced at €250 per person. The price includes a welcome aperitif, a seven-course dinner, and wine pairing. For reservations, please contact Risette directly at +356 2122 5797 or via email at reservations@risette.com.mt.
