Malta’s Come Dine With Me Returns for Third Season

Malta’s Kitchen Table Ready for More Stars

Imagine this: a table set for four, a tantalising aroma wafting from the kitchen, and a stranger sitting across from you, ready to critique your culinary masterpiece. This isn’t a scene from a movie, but a reality for Malta’s home cooks as ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’ returns for its third season.

What’s on the Menu?

For the uninitiated, ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’ is the local adaptation of the popular British TV show. Five contestants, each with a unique cooking style, compete against each other, hosting dinner parties in their own homes. The catch? They’re judged by their fellow contestants and a mysterious ‘mystery guest’.

The show, produced by local TV station TVM, has become a staple in Maltese households, offering a glimpse into the diverse culinary scene of the Mediterranean island. From traditional Maltese dishes like ‘Timpana’ and ‘Ross il-Forn’ to international fusion cuisine, no culinary style is off-limits.

How to Get a Seat at the Table

Applications for the third season are now open, and the producers are on the lookout for Malta’s next top home chef. To throw your hat in the ring, you’ll need to be over 18, a resident of Malta, and, of course, a whiz in the kitchen.

To apply, head over to the TVM website (www.tvm.com.mt) and fill out the application form. You’ll need to provide some basic information about yourself and, most importantly, describe your signature dish and why you think you’ve got what it takes to win.

What’s in it for You?

Besides the bragging rights that come with being crowned Malta’s top home chef, the winner of ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’ will also walk away with a cash prize of €2,500. Not bad for a night in the kitchen!

But the real reward, according to last season’s winner, Maria Camilleri, is the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and connect with fellow food enthusiasts. “It was an incredible experience,” she says. “I met some amazing people and discovered new recipes that I still cook today.”

So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to impress the judges and win over the hearts (and stomachs) of Malta, don’t hesitate to apply. Who knows? You might just find yourself at the centre of the island’s next culinary sensation.

Applications close on March 31st, so get cooking!
