Malta’s ‘Come Dine With Me’ Returns for Third Season

Malta’s Kitchen Table is Set for Another Feast: ‘Come Dine With Me’ Returns

Imagine this: the sun is setting over the Mediterranean, casting a warm glow on the quaint streets of Mdina. The air is filled with the tantalising aroma of garlic and herbs wafting from a nearby kitchen. This is the scene that has played out time and time again on our screens, courtesy of the popular TV show, ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’. And guess what? The producers have just rolled out the red carpet for a third season!

What’s on the Menu?

If you’ve been living under a rock (or perhaps just not tuned into TVM for the past two years), here’s the lowdown. ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’ is the local adaptation of the hit British show, where five amateur chefs go head-to-head in a culinary competition. Each contestant hosts a dinner party for the others, with the group rating each meal and the host’s hospitality. The contestant with the highest score at the end of the week walks away with €1,500 and the coveted title of ‘Malta’s Best Home Cook’.

But it’s not just about the prize money. The show has become a beloved part of Malta’s cultural scene, showcasing our unique blend of Mediterranean and British culinary influences. It’s also given us some unforgettable moments – who could forget the ‘chicken surprise’ incident in season one, or the ‘pasta gate’ drama in season two?

How to Get Involved

So, you think you’ve got what it takes to impress the judges and win over your fellow contestants? Applications are now open for the third season of ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’. Here’s what you need to know:

    • You must be over 18 and a resident of Malta or Gozo.
    • You don’t need to be a professional chef – in fact, the show is all about celebrating home cooking.
    • To apply, you’ll need to fill out an online form and submit a short video introducing yourself and explaining why you want to take part.
    • The deadline for applications is Friday, 31st March 2023.

If you’re selected, you’ll need to be available for filming from Monday, 17th April to Friday, 21st April 2023. And don’t worry, the producers will cover all your expenses during filming.

What’s Next?

Once the applications close, the producers will whittle down the entries to find the five contestants who will battle it out on screen. Then, it’s over to you, the viewers, to tune in and see who will be crowned Malta’s best home cook for 2023.

So, are you ready to don your apron, sharpen your knives, and show Malta what you’re made of? The kitchen table is set, and the island is waiting to taste your culinary creations. Good luck!
