Missing Voting Document? Here’s Where to Collect It in Malta

Voting Document MIA? Here’s How to Collect It in Malta

It’s election season in Malta, and if you’re like many of us, you’ve been eagerly awaiting your voting document. But what if it hasn’t arrived yet? Don’t panic. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to collect your voting document, just in time to cast your vote.

First Things First: Check Your Address

Before you start panicking, double-check that your address is correct with the Electoral Commission. Sometimes, documents can get lost in transit due to incorrect or outdated addresses. You can update your address online on the Electoral Commission’s website.

Where to Collect Your Voting Document

If your address is correct and you still haven’t received your voting document, it’s time to collect it in person. Here are the designated collection points in Malta:

    • Floriana: The Floriana Local Council Office, 27, Triq il-Kbira, Floriana
    • Birkirkara: The Birkirkara Local Council Office, 12, Triq il-Kbira, Birkirkara
    • Zebbug: The Zebbug Local Council Office, 1, Triq l-Industrija, Zebbug
    • Mosta: The Mosta Local Council Office, 1, Triq il-Kbira, Mosta
    • Qormi: The Qormi Local Council Office, 1, Triq il-Kbira, Qormi

These offices are open from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Remember to bring a valid form of identification with you.

What If I Still Can’t Collect My Voting Document?

If you’re still having trouble collecting your voting document, don’t hesitate to contact the Electoral Commission’s helpline on 153. They’re there to help and can guide you through the process. You can also send an email to info@electoral.gov.mt.

Remember, your vote is important. Don’t let a missing document stop you from making your voice heard. With these steps, you should be able to collect your voting document with ease and cast your vote on election day.

“Voting is a right, but it’s also a responsibility,” says Dr. Joe Gerada, a long-time Maltese voter. “Make sure you’re registered, collect your document, and vote. It’s the only way to make your voice count.”
