Missing Voting Document? Here’s Where to Collect It in Malta

Voting Document MIA? Here’s How to Collect It in Malta

Imagine it’s the day before the local council elections, and you’re eager to cast your vote. You rummage through your mail, but there’s no sign of your voting document. Panic sets in. But hold on, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Let’s navigate this together and ensure your voice is heard.

First Things First: Check Your Address

Before you raise the alarm, double-check that you’re at the right address. Sometimes, mail can get mixed up. If you’ve recently moved, make sure your new address is registered with the Electoral Commission. If you’re still unsure, give them a call on 153.

Where to Collect Your Voting Document

If you’ve confirmed your address and still haven’t received your voting document, don’t fret. You can collect it from your local District Electoral Office. Here are the locations:

    • Northern Harbour District: Triq il-Kbira, Qormi
    • Southern Harbour District: Triq San Pawl, Valletta
    • Gozo District: Triq San Lawrenz, Victoria, Gozo

These offices will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, and on Saturday, the 25th of March, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Make sure to bring a valid form of identification with you.

Last-Minute Voting Document Request

If you’re reading this on the eve of the election, don’t despair. You can still request your voting document. You’ll need to fill out an application form, which you can find on the Electoral Commission’s website or at their offices. Once submitted, your document should be ready for collection the next day.

Remember, every vote counts. Don’t let a missing document deter you from exercising your democratic right. If you have any issues, don’t hesitate to contact the Electoral Commission on 153 or via their social media platforms.

As Malta’s local council elections approach, let’s ensure that every voice is heard. Let’s make our mark, together.
