Lost Voting Document? Here’s Where to Collect It in Malta
Voting Day Looms, But Where’s Your Document?
It’s the morning of voting day, and you’re scrambling through your mail, but your voting document is nowhere to be found. Panic sets in. But hold on, don’t let that spoil your civic duty. Here’s where you can still collect your voting document in Malta.
Malta’s Voting Document Saga
Malta’s recent elections have seen a shift in how voting documents are distributed. While many received theirs in the mail, some haven’t. The Electoral Commission has assured the public that it’s not too late to collect your document. So, where can you find it?
Last-Minute Collection Points
If you’re in the Valletta region, head to the Grandmaster’s Palace. That’s right, the historic seat of Malta’s Head of State is now a voting document collection point. It’s open from 8 am to 6 pm on voting day.
For those in the north, the collection point is the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ Headquarters in St. Paul’s Street, Rabat. It’s open from 8 am to 6 pm as well.
In the south, you can find your document at the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector in Triq il-Kbira, Żejtun. It’s open from 8 am to 6 pm too.
Remember, you’ll need to bring your ID card to collect your voting document. It’s that simple.
What If You’re Abroad?
If you’re a Maltese citizen living abroad, you can still vote. You can collect your voting document from the nearest Maltese diplomatic mission or consulate. But remember, the deadline to collect it is 48 hours before voting day.
So, there you have it. No more excuses. Get out there and exercise your democratic right. Malta’s future is in your hands.
