The noise pollution, the potential safety hazards, and the impact on the park-and-ride’s intended purpose are all issues that have been raised by locals. “We use this facility to park our cars and take the bus into Victoria,” says Debono. “But with all these heavy vehicles here, it’s making it difficult for us to do that.”

The ministry, however, maintains that the situation is under control. “We are aware of the concerns raised by the local community,” a spokesperson said. “We assure them that we are working diligently to ensure that the situation is resolved as soon as possible.”
