Rider in Critical Condition After St. Julian’s Crash

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a motorcycle accident in St. Julian’s on Tuesday evening, where a man was found lying injured on the side of Triq San Ġorġ Preca. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old local resident, was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital in critical condition after falling off his motorcycle.

Witnesses Recall Chaotic Scene

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as the man, identified only as J.P., lost control of his bike near the busy St. George’s Bay roundabout. “I saw him coming around the corner too fast,” said one witness, who wished to remain anonymous. “He tried to brake, but it was too late. He skidded and went down hard.”

Road Safety Concerns in St. Julian’s

This incident has once again raised concerns about road safety in the popular tourist town. St. Julian’s, with its narrow streets and heavy traffic, has seen a number of similar incidents in recent years. “We’ve been calling for better traffic management and safer roads for a long time,” said a local resident. “Something needs to change before more people get hurt.”

The incident is currently under investigation by the Malta Police Force. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 119.
