Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered in Birkirkara Search
Birkirkara’s bustling streets, usually filled with the chatter of students and the aroma of pastizzi from the local bakery, have been quieter than usual. The reason? The community is on the lookout for 16-year-old Matthew, who has been missing since last Tuesday. His family, friends, and the local police are desperate for any information that could lead to his safe return.
Matthew’s Disappearance
Matthew, a student at Birkirkara’s St. Aloysius College, was last seen near the school’s premises around 4 PM on Tuesday, March 15th. He was wearing his school uniform – a white shirt, navy-blue trousers, and a black blazer with the school’s crest. He also had a black backpack with him. Despite extensive searches and appeals, there’s been no sign of him since.
Community Response and Reward
The Birkirkara community has rallied around Matthew’s family, with many volunteering to help in the search. Posters bearing Matthew’s photo and details have been plastered across the town, from the busy Republic Street to the quieter side streets. The local council has also offered a €1,000 reward for any information that leads to Matthew’s safe return.
“We’re appealing to anyone who might have seen Matthew or knows anything about his whereabouts,” says Inspector Joe, leading the investigation. “Please, come forward. Matthew’s family is desperate for his safe return.”
