€1,000 Reward: Help Find Missing Birkirkara Teen
Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered in Birkirkara Search
Birkirkara, Malta’s most populous locality, is no stranger to the usual humdrum of daily life. Yet, today, an eerie silence hangs over the usually bustling streets. The reason? A teenage student, 16-year-old Daniel Azzopardi, has been missing since Tuesday, and the community is on edge.
Daniel’s Last Known Whereabouts
Daniel was last seen near the Birkirkara Primary School on Tuesday afternoon. He had been playing football with friends before heading home, but he never made it. His worried family reported him missing the same evening. “He’s a good boy, always home on time,” his mother, Maria Azzopardi, told Hot Malta, her voice trembling.
Community Rallies Around the Azzopardis
News of Daniel’s disappearance has through Birkirkara. Neighbours have been sharing his photo on social media, and local businesses have put up posters. The Birkirkara Local Council has also issued a public appeal, urging anyone with information to come forward.
“We’re doing everything we can to help the family,” said Dr. Marcel Cassar, Mayor of Birkirkara. “We’ve mobilized our community wardens and are working closely with the police. We won’t rest until Daniel is found.”
€1,000 Reward Offered
In a desperate bid to find Daniel, his family has put up a €1,000 reward for any information leading to his safe return. “We just want our son back,” said Daniel’s father, Joe Azzopardi. “We’re offering the reward because we believe someone out there knows something. Please, if you’ve seen him, come forward.”
Inspector Joseph Muscat from the Birkirkara Police Station urges anyone with information to contact them immediately. “No detail is too small. If you think you’ve seen Daniel, or know anything that could help, please call us.”
Daniel is described as 5’7″, slim build, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas tracksuit and white Nike trainers.
