€1,000 Reward Offered for Missing Teen Matthew
Missing Teen: €1,000 Reward Offered for Information
In the quiet Maltese town of Birkirkara, a family’s worry is growing. Their 16-year-old son, Matthew, hasn’t been seen since last Tuesday. The police are appealing for information, and a €1,000 reward is now on offer for any leads that help bring him home.
Matthew’s Disappearance
Matthew was last seen near the St. Helen’s School in Birkirkara, where he’s a student. He was wearing his school uniform – a navy-blue blazer, white shirt, and grey trousers. He’s described as being of slim build, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was carrying a black backpack with the logo of his school.
His mother, Maria, is desperate for news. “He’s never gone this long without contacting us,” she told Hot Malta, her voice trembling. “We just want him to come home, or for someone to tell us he’s safe.”
Police Appeal and Reward
The Malta Police Force has issued an appeal for anyone who might have seen Matthew or knows of his whereabouts to come forward. They can be contacted on 119 or by visiting the Birkirkara Police Station.
In an effort to encourage information, a €1,000 reward has been offered by an anonymous donor. Inspector Joe Borg, leading the investigation, expressed hope that this would prompt anyone with information to come forward. “We’re following every lead,” he said, “and we urge anyone who thinks they might have seen something to get in touch.”
Community Support
Birkirkara residents have rallied around the family, with many sharing Matthew’s photo on social media and offering support. “It’s a close-knit community,” said local shopkeeper Tony Camilleri. “We’re all hoping for his safe return.”
If you have any information about Matthew’s whereabouts, please contact the Malta Police Force immediately. Let’s bring him home.
