Cilia’s big break came when he started working at a small tech startup. He quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating a natural talent for business and innovation. By the age of 30, he had co-founded his own tech company, which he grew into a multi-million dollar enterprise.

Despite his success, Cilia never forgot his roots. He’s been a vocal advocate for Malta’s tech industry, often returning to the island to mentor young entrepreneurs and invest in local startups.

“Malta has a unique advantage in the tech world,” he says. “Our people are bilingual, hardworking, and innovative. With the right support and opportunities, I believe Malta could become a major player in the global tech scene.”

Cilia’s philanthropy extends beyond the tech industry. He’s also a generous supporter of local charities and cultural initiatives, including the restoration of the historic Ħamrun Market, where he spent so much time as a child.

“I was just a kid from Ħamrun with a dream and a suitcase,” Cilia says. “But I never let that stop me. I worked hard, I took risks, and I never gave up. That’s the key to success, no matter where you’re from.”
