Police Hunt for Maria in St. Julian’s Court Case

Police Search for Woman Linked to St. Julian’s Court Case

In the heart of Malta’s bustling St. Julian’s, a woman is at the centre of a court case that’s keeping the police on their toes. The woman, identified only as ‘Maria’, is being sought by the Maltese authorities in connection with a case set to be heard at the St. Julian’s Courthouse. But who is Maria, and what’s her connection to the court case that’s got everyone talking?

From St. Julian’s to the Courtroom

St. Julian’s, a town known for its vibrant nightlife and tourist hotspots, is now also home to a legal drama that’s unfolding in its courthouse. The case involves a local business, ‘The Mediterranean Bistro’, nestled in the town’s busy Spinola Road. The bistro, a favourite among locals and tourists alike, is at the heart of the legal tussle, with ‘Maria’ being sought as a key witness.

The bistro’s owner, Joseph Xuereb, told Hot Malta, “We’re cooperating fully with the police. We want this resolved as much as they do. It’s affecting our business, and we just want to get back to serving our customers.” Xuereb declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.

Who is Maria?

Maria, a 35-year-old woman with a distinctive tattoo of a phoenix on her left shoulder, is believed to have been employed at the bistro until recently. Neighbours and former colleagues describe her as a friendly, hardworking woman who kept to herself. “She was always polite, always ready to help,” said Lisa Camilleri, a neighbour who lived in the same apartment block as Maria in nearby Paceville.

However, Maria’s friendly demeanour seems to belie a more complex reality. Sources close to the investigation suggest that Maria may have been involved in a dispute with the bistro’s management, potentially linked to the ongoing court case. But with Maria currently at large, these are just speculations.

Police Appeal for Information

The Maltese police have issued an appeal for information on Maria’s whereabouts. Superintendent of Police, Keith Vella, told Hot Malta, “We urge anyone with information about Maria’s whereabouts to come forward. We want to ensure that justice is served, and that can only happen if we can locate Maria and hear her side of the story.”

The police have set up a hotline specifically for this case, and officers are patrolling the streets of St. Julian’s and Paceville, showing Maria’s photograph to locals and tourists alike. The police have also been conducting raids in known hangouts and safe houses, but so far, Maria remains elusive.

The court case at St. Julian’s Courthouse is set to resume next week, with or without Maria. The bistro’s owner, Joseph Xuereb, is optimistic that the case will be resolved soon. “We’re hopeful that Maria will be found and that the truth will come out. We’re confident in our position, and we’re ready to face whatever comes our way.”

In the meantime, the search for Maria continues. If you have any information about her whereabouts, please contact the police on the hotline number provided. Let’s help bring this case to a close and allow St. Julian’s to return to its usual bustling self.
