Emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a car in Gozo’s Xewkija area yesterday afternoon. The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Xagħra, was injured and transported to Gozo General Hospital for treatment.
What Happened?
The accident occurred around 3 PM on Triq l-Indipendenza, near the roundabout leading to the Xewkija parish church. According to eyewitnesses, the motorcyclist was traveling towards Victoria when the collision with a car heading in the opposite direction took place.
Police and Civil Protection Department personnel quickly arrived at the scene, closing off the road while they attended to the injured man and investigated the cause of the accident. The car’s driver, a 42-year-old man from Żebbuġ, was unharmed.
