The recycling facility, located on Triq il-Karmnu, is a familiar sight to Birkirkara residents. Injuries and Rescue Efforts

Paramedics from the Malta Civil Protection Department and the Maltese Red Cross arrived to find a chaotic scene. The injured were then transported to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
