The reason? Heavy Russian strikes on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, have left one dead and 31 wounded, according to the latest reports.
Malta’s Ukrainian community, numbering around 2,000, is on edge. Many have family and friends back home, and the news from Kyiv is chilling. “I haven’t been able to sleep properly since this started,” says Anna, a Ukrainian student studying in Malta. “I’m constantly checking my phone for news, hoping everyone I know is safe.”
Malta’s Response: Solidarity and Support
