Teen’s Face Slashed in Paceville Brawl: Witness Questioned

In the early hours of Saturday, the usually bustling streets of Paceville fell silent as an ambulance rushed a teenager to Mater Dei Hospital, his face gashed open in a brutal brawl. The incident has left the tight-knit community of this popular nightlife hub reeling, with questions swirling about what led to the violent altercation.

Brawl Erupts Outside Popular Nightspot

The fight broke out around 3:30 AM outside the iconic T’Gallerie nightclub on St. George’s Road. Eyewitnesses report a heated argument escalating quickly into a full-blown brawl, with chairs and glasses shattering as they were thrown into the mix. The 17-year-old victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, was left with a deep gash across his cheek, requiring stitches and leaving him with a permanent scar.

“I’ve seen Paceville on wild nights, but this was something else,” said a shaken witness, who asked not to be named. “It was like a scene from a movie. I just hope the poor lad makes a full recovery.”

Witness Questioned, Suspects at Large

Police have since questioned a witness and are appealing for more information from anyone who may have seen the incident. Two suspects, believed to be in their early twenties, are still at large. Inspector Joseph Muscat of the St. Julian’s Police Station urges anyone with information to come forward.

“We’re treating this as a serious incident,” Inspector Muscat said. “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen something to get in touch. Even the smallest piece of information could prove crucial.”

If you have any information, you can contact the St. Julian’s Police Station on 2133 5101 or anonymously through the police hotline on 119.

Community Calls for Calmer Paceville

Local residents and business owners have expressed their concern over the incident, calling for stricter measures to maintain order in Paceville. “We love Paceville for its vibrancy, but we don’t want this kind of violence,” said Mario, a long-time resident. “We need to find a balance between fun and safety.”

In response, the St. Julian’s Local Council has announced plans to review and strengthen security measures in the area. “We’re working closely with the police and business owners to ensure Paceville remains a safe and enjoyable place for everyone,” said Councilor Debra Spiteri.

As the investigation continues, the teenager recovers at home, his face a stark reminder of the violence that can erupt in even the most lively of places. The incident serves as a sobering reminder that, despite its reputation, Paceville is more than just a party destination – it’s a community, and one that deserves to feel safe.
