Bulgaria Crowned Winners at Euphoric Eurovision 2026
Bulgaria Takes the Crown: A Night of Euphoria at Eurovision 2026
Malta, 14th May, 2026 – The night was electric, the atmosphere palpable. In the heart of Ta’ Qali, at the iconic MFCC, Malta’s Eurovision party was in full swing. As the results rolled in, one thing was clear: this year’s Eurovision was far from predictable. And then, it happened. Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project took to the stage, accepting their hard-earned trophy as the winners of Eurovision 2026.
From Malta to Sofia: A Journey to the Top
The road to victory was a long and winding one for Bulgaria. Their entry, “Intention”, a powerful ballad sung by the charismatic Adrian Luca, had been a fan favorite since its release. But Eurovision is a game of surprises, and nothing was certain until the final votes were in. Malta, with our own powerful entry “Glitter and Gold” by the talented Emma Muscat, gave it our best shot. But alas, it was not to be. This year, the glitter was a little less golden for us, but the spirit of Eurovision lived on.
Malta’s Night of Pride and Celebration
Back at the MFCC, the mood was one of pride and celebration. Despite the result, Malta put on a spectacular show. Our hosts, the dynamic duo of Ben Camille and Claudia Faniello, kept the energy high throughout the night. And let’s not forget our interval act, a dazzling display of Maltese traditional dance and music that had the crowd on their feet.
As the night drew to a close, it was clear that while we may not have taken home the trophy, Malta had once again shown why we’re a force to be reckoned with on the Eurovision stage. Our passion, our pride, and our unique spirit shone through, making us winners in our own right.
: What’s Next for Malta and Eurovision?
So, what’s next for Malta and Eurovision? Well, we’re already to 2027. Our focus is on building on the success of this year’s contest and continuing to push the boundaries of what Malta can achieve on the international stage. We’re a small nation with a big heart, and we’re not afraid to dream big. After all, as the late, great Terry Wogan once said, “Eurovision isn’t just about the music, it’s about the people.” And Malta, we’re here to stay.
