Malta Election: Don’t Miss Out – Here’s How to Collect Your Voting Document
Voting Blues? Here’s How to Grab Your Document in Time for Malta’s Election
Imagine this: it’s the eve of Malta’s election, and you’re suddenly hit by a wave of panic. You’ve been so caught up in the daily grind that you’ve forgotten to check if your voting document has arrived. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. But don’t stress, because we’ve got you covered. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to collect your voting document in a jiffy.
First Things First: Check the Electoral Roll
Before you start your search, make sure you’re registered to vote. You can check the Electoral Commission’s website to ensure your name is on the electoral roll. If it’s not, you can still register up until the 14th of February, but that’s a story for another day.
Lost or Didn’t Receive Your Voting Document? Here’s What to Do
Alright, so you’ve checked, and you’re registered. Great! Now, let’s find that voting document. If you’ve misplaced it or didn’t receive it, don’t panic. The Electoral Commission has set up collection points across Malta and Gozo. Here’s where you can find them:
- Malta: You can collect your voting document from the Electoral Commission’s offices in Floriana, or from your local council’s offices. You can find a list of these offices here.
- Gozo: If you’re a Gozitan voter, you can collect your document from the Gozo Regional Office in Victoria.
Remember, you’ll need to bring along your ID card or passport to collect your voting document. It’s also a good idea to call ahead and confirm the opening hours, just to be safe.
What If I Can’t Make It to the Collection Points?
Life happens, and sometimes you just can’t make it to the collection points. If that’s the case, don’t worry. You can appoint a proxy to collect your voting document on your behalf. You’ll need to fill out a proxy form, which you can find here. Once your proxy has collected your document, they’ll need to hand it over to you in person.
Don’t Miss Out on Your Chance to Vote
Malta’s election is a chance for your voice to be heard. Don’t let a lost voting document stop you from making a difference. Whether you’re in Floriana, Victoria, or anywhere else in Malta and Gozo, there’s a collection point nearby. So, grab your ID, pop down to your nearest collection point, and get ready to vote.
And remember, the polls are open from 7 am to 10 pm on the 26th of March. So, there’s no excuse not to make your voice heard.
Now, go forth and vote, Malta!
