Mgr Wojciech Załuski, the newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Malta, arrived in our sunny isles, ready to take up his post at the Vatican’s diplomatic mission in Valletta. From Poland to the Mediterranean

Born in Poland, Mgr Załuski, 53, has served the Vatican in various capacities, most recently as the Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus. Before that, he held posts in the Vatican’s Secretariat of State and its diplomatic missions in Russia and Ukraine. Now, he finds himself in the heart of the Mediterranean, ready to represent the Holy See in Malta and Libya.

Scicluna and other high-ranking clergy. From there, he made his way to the Apostolic Nunciature, a grand 18th-century palace on Old Bakery Street, where he will reside and work.
