Emergency services rushed to a Gżira apartment block yesterday afternoon, following reports of a man falling from a third-floor balcony. The victim, a 32-year-old Maltese national, is currently in critical but stable condition at Mater Dei Hospital.

Residents Recall Terrifying Scene

Neighbours described the scene as harrowing. “I heard a loud thud and then screams,” said Maria, a resident who wished to remain anonymous. “I looked out and saw him lying on the pavement, not moving.” The incident occurred around 3 PM at Triq il-Kbira, a bustling street in the heart of Gżira.
