Safety First at Dingli

Dingli Cliffs, with its stunning views and reliable thermals, is a magnet for paragliders and hang gliders. However, the site’s popularity and challenging conditions require experienced pilots and strict safety protocols. The Malta Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (MHGPA) has since issued a statement reminding pilots to always check weather conditions and fly within their limits.

MHGPA President, Mario, told Hot Malta, “Incidents like this are rare, but they serve as a stark reminder of the risks we take. Our thoughts are with our injured colleague, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

As the paragliding community in Malta rallies around their injured colleague, they also emphasize the importance of safety and responsible flying. Dingli Cliffs, with its breathtaking views and thrilling thermals, will continue to draw pilots, but the incident serves as a stark reminder that even in paradise, safety should always be the top priority.
