Sarah Bonnici’s Visual Album Enchants at the Manoel
Sarah Bonnici’s Visual Album: A Night of Magic at the Manoel
Malta’s cultural scene was buzzing last night as local sweetheart Sarah Bonnici premiered her visual album at the historic Manoel Theatre. The sold-out event was a testament to the power of local talent and the enduring charm of our island’s cultural gems.
From Studio to Stage
Sarah Bonnici, a name that’s been making waves in Malta’s music scene, took her audience on a journey last night. Her visual album, ‘The Art of Letting Go’, is a deeply personal project that explores themes of love, loss, and growth. The Manoel Theatre, with its ornate gold leaf and plush red seats, provided the perfect backdrop for this emotional rollercoaster.
The night began with a hush as the lights dimmed and Sarah took her place at the piano. The first notes of ‘Phoenix’ filled the air, and the visuals began to dance across the stage. The audience was transported into Sarah’s world, a place of vivid colours and raw emotion.
Malta’s Creative Scene Unites
What made the night truly special was the coming together of Malta’s creative community. Local filmmakers, artists, and musicians all played a part in bringing Sarah’s vision to life. The result was a harmonious blend of talent that had the audience spellbound.
Among the crowd were familiar faces from Malta’s arts scene. We spotted local filmmaker Paul Caruana Galizia, who directed several of the album’s music videos, and artist Alexia Cassar, whose artwork adorned the stage. It was heartening to see such a strong show of support from our local creative community.
The evening ended with a standing ovation and Sarah, visibly moved, thanked the audience for their support. “To see my music and my story brought to life like this, in such a beautiful theatre, it’s more than I could have ever dreamed of,” she said.
