Man Arrested for Sliema Harassment Campaign

In the heart of Sliema, a bustling town known for its vibrant atmosphere and cosmopolitan feel, a man was recently arrested following an alleged campaign of harassment against his ex-partner. The victim, a 35-year-old woman who has lived in Sliema for over a decade, described a terrifying ordeal that began shortly after she ended her relationship with the suspect. According to her statement to the police, the man, a 38-year-old Maltese national, began a relentless campaign of harassment that included constant phone calls, threatening messages, and even physical stalking.

“I used to feel safe walking down Tigne’ Seafront in the evening,” she told Hot Malta. “Now, I’m constantly looking over my shoulder, wondering if he’s nearby.”

The Sliema community has rallied around the victim, offering support and encouraging her to press charges. “We won’t stand for this kind of behavior in our community,” said a local shop owner who wished to remain anonymous. “We’re all looking out for her and making sure she’s safe.”
