Malta HiPP Products Safe: Importer Reassures

No Need to Panic: HiPP Products in Malta Safe, Importer Assures

In the bustling streets of Valletta, shoppers at the popular Is-Suq Tal-Belt market were oblivious to the recent stir caused by a German recall of HiPP organic baby products. But the importer of these products in Malta wants to reassure locals that their little ones are safe.

Recall in Germany, Not Malta

Last week, German retailer dm-drogerie markt recalled HiPP organic baby food products due to possible contamination with foreign particles. The recall, however, does not extend to Malta, as the affected batches were not distributed here. Yet, the news has sparked concern among local parents.

“We understand parents’ worries,” says Mark Zammit, director of Malta-based importer NutriKids Ltd. “But we want to assure them that the products they find on our shelves are safe. We have strict quality control measures in place.”

Malta’s HiPP Products Untouched

NutriKids Ltd is the sole importer of HiPP products in Malta. Zammit explains that the recalled batches were produced in a different factory than the ones they distribute. “Our products come from the HiPP factory in Germany, not the one in Austria where the recall was issued,” he clarifies.

To further reassure customers, NutriKids Ltd has issued a statement on their website and social media platforms, detailing the steps they take to ensure product safety. They also encourage parents to check the batch numbers on their products to put any doubts to rest.

Parents React, Importer Reassures

While some local parents have expressed relief at the news that Malta’s HiPP products are unaffected, others remain cautious. “I’ll definitely be checking the batch number before I buy,” says Valletta resident and mother of two, Maria Grech.

Zammit understands these concerns but urges parents not to panic. “We take our responsibility towards Maltese families very seriously. We’ve been importing HiPP products for over a decade, and our commitment to quality has never wavered,” he says.

For now, parents can breathe easy knowing that their HiPP products in Malta are safe. But as always, it’s crucial to stay informed and vigilant about product recalls and safety measures.

If you’re a parent with concerns or questions about HiPP products in Malta, you can contact NutriKids Ltd directly for reassurance and guidance.
